I must confess, it took me awhile to start this blog. Why? I am not a writer and I am far from a photographer. (I don’t even know how to take a selfie)
I know there’s tons of information on the web and some really awesome blogs that cover health and wellness. But, I have something to say about the issue as well. Sharing my firsthand experience has helped my family, friends and clients. So, I wanted to share it with all of you with the hope that you will experience a life of wellness. But will my lack of writing experience and photography skills keep readers from visiting Land of the Well?
Clearly, I took the leap and started the blog anyway. Why? Because real life doesn’t need editing. It is what it is. Even though I don’t have a degree in literature, I hope by me saying “cut out the sugar” – you will. The pictures of my food may look quite a mess but I hope you will try the recipes because they taste really good and they are a great alternative to the unhealthy foods many of us are eating. Let me tell you, this is not an excuse. I totally want the content of this blog to look magazine worthy.
One of the main missions of Land of the Well is to show folks that change is a journey. We take small steps to accomplish great goals. So, I am going to share one of my goals with you. I want to style and shoot my own food. Not solely because I can’t afford a professional photographer (use are supposed to laugh here even though I am telling the truth) but because I want to learn how and try something new.
Will you stick with me? I hope so! I am learning about ISO, shutter speeds and aperture. Hopefully I will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new too. Oh and (fingers crossed) hopefully the pictures of the food on my blog will make you say “YUM!!!!!!!”
